Tandoori Roti

Thanks to my Friend Ruchi for sharing this recipe also other recipes , tips and secrets too 🙂


Whole Wheat Atta – 2 cups
Curd – 2 table spoon (Optional)
Salt – to taste.


* Make a dough mixing all ingredients together , with sufficient water to make a smooth dough. Cover with a wet  kitchen towel and keep aside for 10 -15 minutes.

*Pre heat the oven to 500 Degree F/Broil option  , arrange the rack to the second one on top.
* Divide the dough in to 4 to 5 equal parts ( These are thick) Pat each ball with hands or use a rolling pin to make it your desired thickness , 5 to 6 inch in diameter.
*Place Roti’s on a greased dish or foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or till it bubble’s up on one side , flip the side carefully, as the oven will be extremely hot.

*Serve Hot with Salad and Dal or any Meat Preparations.

Notes : Since the Oven is in very high temperature , do take extreme care while handling.
